Hole 2 : Overhead View Hole 1 Info Tile The tee shot on the second hole is up to the crest of a hill. There is about 180-200 yards to carry the crest of the hill then its all downhill to the green. The green is protected by four bunkers one on the left, one on the right and two behind the green. There is little joy left, but there is the protection of the first fairway should your tee shot veer right. the bigger hitters that can carry the crest of the hill can reach the green here when the fairways are hard and running, but with danger left and those four bunkers waiting to swallow any errant shots, a hybrid / fairway wood to the top of the hill is often not a bad shot. The greens at Stamford Golf Club are immacualtely kept, but their beauty can often bely their danger. The undulations on the second green mean that even the shortest of putts have to be given 100% concentration. Walk up and give it a noncholant tap at your peril ...
