Hole 5 : Overhead View Hole 5 Info Tile The par 5 5th plays slightly longer than its yardage on the card due to the fact that it is all uphill. The tee shot can be a little daunting, a narrow tee lined with mature trees either side can give the impression of being a little closed in. Most players will favour the left for their opening shot as the 5th fairway falls away to the right where it adjoins the 8th, a tee shot too far right will see your ball trundle down the hill and you will be rubbing shoulders with those that are coming down the 8th for your second shot. In fact the key to the fifth is to stay left, there is a steep valley infront of what is quite a small green for a par five, so the smart play is to play it as a three shot hole and keep left. pro's tip icon
