The 6th hole is a par 3 played across a small "valley" to a raised green. appropriately named Castle, this
hole requires careful thought when in comes to club selection. Though it measures just 176 yards from the whites
there can be as much as 3 or 4 clubs difference depending on the direction of the wind. If you then add into the equation
the club house, which from the tee appears to be directly behind the green, then you have a short hole which if you are not careful
can produce large numbers on your scorecard. If you are short off the tee, then you you will be playing your second shot from way below the
hole with no view of the green or indeed the flag. If you are long then you could be bounding acorss the car park, or even bouncing off the large
bay window of the club house, so it goes without saying that distance control is the key to storming the Castle at Stamford Golf Club.
