Site is starting to take shape a little now.
 
Admin section now up and running which will allow the club to update sections of the website themselves. At present the "whats on" and course condition sections can be updated and any changes will be reflected real time on the home page (via the course condition / weekly events) icon.
 
In progress is the ability to add the Open dates (for all member groups) and have these update the home page (i.e. the next up and coming Open competition being shown).

Update 17 Oct 2010.
 
Created new image based header to replace the plain text "Stamford Golf Club"
 
Added three items to the vistors menu option (Green fees, Opens, Societies)
 
Pages added to service the three menu options detailed above, with the content being drawn mainly from the existing web site.
 
Uploaded the Opens application form and the Societies application form.

Update Tuesday 13th July.
 
Following a suggestion from Mark, a pro's tip icon has been added to the course guide (Hole 1).
 
If this meets with approval then this will be added to all other holes and will alllow Mark to offer tips on each of the holes on the course guide without the guide looking too "busy" or cluttered.

Update : Sunday 11th June.
 
First two holes have been added to the course guide : Hydes and Summit.
 
You can view these in a few ways :-
 
From the menu select : Course .... Course Guide .... Front Nine .... Hole 1
 
From the card of the course page click on the name of the hole (either Hydes or Summit)
 
When viewing any of the course guide pages you can jump to another by clicking on the hole number at the top and bottom of the screen. Note only holes one and two are completed at the moment but the rest will follow pretty quickly.

Forums like this tend to be slow burners,  but then they just explode.
 
Some of the members (i.e. those not part of the facebook generation) might take a while but what I've found in the past is that once they take the plunge, and reply to a post, then get a reply back there is no stopping them.
