Our excellent golf course is an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all abilities on which to enjoy relaxing or competitive golf, as either a member, visitor or with a society or friends.
The Club is situated in the foothills of the Pennines and has an ideal location which borders Stalybridge, Ashton-u-Lyne and Mossley in Greater Manchester just 12 miles from Manchester city centre. The Club is affiliated to the Cheshire Union being, prior to 1974, in the narrow northern part of Cheshire which borders Lancashire, Derbyshire and the West Riding of Yorkshire.
Director of Golf and Professional Mark Smith welcomes visitors and prospective members. He provides excellent tuition for all abilities, from complete novices to professional tour players.
The course is under the management of Green Keeper John Pierrepoint and his team who maintain the course to the highest standard. It is beautifully presented and maintained. The course has become one of the most desirable locations in the area, presenting many challenges in a picturesque setting.
The clubhouse is home to our cosy 19th hole bar where members and visitors can enjoy a refreshing drink or snack after playing golf under the stewardship of Kirsty and Chef Dane. A warm welcome will be extended to anyone wishing to visit our Club for golf or to enjoy the extensive menus.
